What are the current promotional offers?
Group Discount: A group of 10-15 ONLY new members can form a group and sign up for membership. They will get $50/month membership for one year. The "group lead" has to provide names of people in his group upfront.
Are there any referral discounts?
Unfortunately, not due to the currently ongoing promotional offer.

COURT HOUSE RULES FAQS
What shoes are allowed?
Only Non-marking shoes are allowed. Members will not be allowed to play with black/dark soles.
Anyone playing with marking shoes that can leave marks on the badminton courts will be fined. Fine for playing with marking shoes: $150.
How many players are allowed per court booking?
Maximum of 6 people per court bookings. Additional non-members will pay walk-in fee.

Who is allowed to play on the courts?
All players must check in at the front desk upon arrival.
Only checked-in Members are allowed to play during open play per their membership plans.
Non-members need to buy a day pass at the front desk in order to avail and play in the facility.

Who is not allowed to play on the courts?
Parents accompanying kids to their classes are not allowed to play on courts unless they are members or have bought a non-member pass to play.
Kids enrolled in the training program are not allowed to play in the open play courts unless they have signed up for membership plan or have purchased a non-member pass.
Non-members who are found inside the courts can be fined $250 if they are found playing without purchasing a day pass prior to entering the courts. Members escorting friends inside the courts to play without a day pass risk loosing their membership (account termination along with a fine of $250).
Can I train my students in Texas Badminton facility?
Texas Badminton offers a training program and coaches. The coaches are accredited by badminton and sports governing bodies like USAB and safe sports USA. Anyone who wishes to get training can join our training programs. If you are not associated and employed as a Texas Badminton coach, then you are not allowed to train anyone in this facility.
Any type of Badminton training including feeding birds/shuttlecock is strictly restricted. Violators can be fined $250 or membership can be canceled.
Any member not associated with Texas Badminton as a coach is strictly prohibited from soliciting and offering training to any of our members and kids in training programs.
If you are found violating our training policy, your membership will be terminated effective immediately.
Do I have to reserve a court?
At peak times (weekdays 6-9pm and weekends 9-11am and 2-5pm) court bookings will be given a priority. We encourage people to block the courts for a continuous period i.e., monthly on a specific time and day. Otherwise, to reserve, contact us (in person, by email) at least two hours prior to your desired start time.
What are the queuing rules?
You will need to place your name on central queuing board. One group can only queue up for one court at a time. Queuing players will get 20 minutes of playing time and then re-queue for their next turn.
Do I need to bring my own racket and shuttlecocks? What else should I bring?
You are welcome to bring your own racket and shuttlecocks. However, we also have racket rental options available starting at $5 and shuttlecocks for sale. We also have an on site shop if you wish to purchase your own racket/shuttlecocks/apparel/shoes.
Can I come by myself and find someone to play with?
We require that all players play in groups of at least two players.
Any other rules I should follow?
No food or open-container drinks in the court area
Be on time for court reservation and leave on time.
No swear, cussing words as we have many minors at the facility

What is the difference between Family Plan and Single Parent/Kid Membership?
Family plan is for a family of four people while Single Parent can membership for one of the parents with up to two dependents.

Registration fee is a one-time fee charged at the time of enrollment. It is not refundable upon account cancellation. Once account is cancelled, registration fees will be recharged prior to re-enrollment.
How are monthly fees charged?
Monthly fee will be charged to the card on file each month on the same date. Month is calculated based on a 30-day month to factor in facility closures due to tournaments, Thanksgiving, and Christmas day.  Please ensure card on file is most up to date. A $10 late fee will be applied for late payment.

Are there any minimum commitments to join?
Yes, the membership has a minimum three months commitment. If a member chooses to end the membership before, the member will still be charged for the remaining term of initial three months.
STUDENT COACHING FAQS
Where do I find information on badminton coaching programs and pricing?
Please go to Training Programs for general information and various programs depending on skill levels.
How do I choose training program for my kids?
Training program vary based on student skills. If your kid is new to badminton then we will suggest Prep Beginner or Beginner classes. Prep Beginner is also geared towards after-school activity program. If your kid is proficient in badminton then we will recommend High Performance classes. Elite Programs are by invitation only.
What is the minimum age requirement for kids?
A minimum of about 5 years of age is ideal.
What is a typical coaching class like?
A class will be one-to-two hour long depending on the training program. A typical class will start off with warm up exercise followed by skill development techniques and likely some game time.
How do I request make-up class?
Only one class per month is allowed for make-up. The make-up class needs to be completed in the same month. Email make up class request to admin@texas-badminton.com

How can I play badminton at TXB?
You can be a member ($60/person/month or lower if more than one person in a family joins or annual memberships) or just pay a walk-in fee ($12/visit) to play. If you intend to play two or more than two times a week it will be cost effective for customers to become a member.
What types of play are available?
People can walk-in and play if courts are available or queue in. Players queuing in will have to swap to play every twenty minutes. However, the best way to ensure one gets to play at the desired time is to book a court. Court booking fee is $16 for members and $35 for non-members per hour (no walk-in fee required if booking the court). Court booking fee is per court and not per person i.e. a group of four people can book the court and still pay $16 or $35 per hour as a group. Off peak time (5-8am or 9-11pm) court booking fee is $24/hour.
Do I need to be a member to book the court?
No. You can pay $35/hour (pre-sales tax) per court or $24/hour (pre-sales tax) during off-peak hours (5-8am or 9-11pm). If booking a court, no walk-in fee is required. Alternately, a member who will play with you can book a court in his/her name for $16/hour (pre-sales tax) and you can pay a daily walk-in fee of $12 (pre-sales tax) additionally.
Do members also have to book a court?
Members do not have book a court. They too can come and play if courts are available or queue in. Players queuing in will have to swap to play every twenty minutes. Why should I become a monthly/annual member vs. just walk-in?
If you intend to play more than one time/week may that be for one hour or more, it will be cost effective to become a member. A walk-in fee is $12/per visit (pre-sales tax) vs. $60/month. Moreover, most people like to book a court for surety to pay at the desired time and length of time. Member court booking fee (pre-sales tax) is $16/court/hour vs. $35/court/hour for non-members.

CANCELLATION/REFUND FAQS
How do I change my membership or training program?
Any membership changes have a $10 charge and need to be requested in writing. It can take 1 to 4 working days to make changes.
Membership Cancellation - 30 day notice.
Membership Hold - 30 day notice.
Membership and training change requests made at front desk and by phone will not be entertained.

How do I cancel membership?
30 days cancellation notice is required in case of canceling the subscription. Oral cancelation or by phone is not valid.
Can I cancel my court reservation?
The Texas Badminton reserves the right to refuse or cancel the reservation for any reasonable cause. Your appointments are very important to us. We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, making schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel/modify your appointment, we respectfully request at least 48 hours notice. No refunds will be issued but a credit for future bookings will be provided if a request is made 48 hours earlier. A 24 hour notice will result in credit but at a 50% rate. Less than 24 hours notice will not be accepted and no refund/credit will be provided. There will be no refunds for no shows.
How do I put membership on hold?
With 30 days advance notice, the subscription can be placed on hold once/year for up to three months only.  However, we cannot guarantee the same spot upon return. With 30 days advance notice and 50% monthly fee we can reserve the same spot for coaching.
What is the refund policy?
In general no refunds will be issued. Always email us at admin@texas-badminton.com 30 days ahead of your next billing date so your account changes can be made in a timely manner. Refunds will not be issued for Membership dues from previous months if we don't find an email request in our inbox.
No refunds will be issued on Registration fees.
No refunds will be issued for annual membership after contract commences.
No refunds will be issued on membership dues for account cancellations not meeting the notification period requirements.
Should Academy find it necessary to remove a child from a class, a prorated refund will be issued for remaining classes left in the month.
Refunds will not be issued for failure to attend a scheduled class.
Refunds will not be issued on any unscheduled cancellations by Staff.
Refunds will not be issued for any facility closures due to natural disaster, government emergency, health crisis or force majeure (act of God).
Refunds, if any, will be charged a 10% fee.
